One of the unique things about this book is that the main character is disabled, and lschulte really resonated with the main characterβs determination and relatability. They recommend this book to fans of βThe 5th Waveβ and βThe Hunger Games.β

A review of "Climate of Chaos" by Ischulte, a Brambleton Library Volunteer, who says the book should be awarded for its originality and positive character traits.
lschulte read βClimate of Chaosβ by @cassnewbould.bsky.social and they thought it stood out in comparison to other dystopian books because of the characters and new ideas presented. They also say that the worldbuilding is βthorough and exciting.β

They also thought that the main character was morally gray and that βadded a lot of depth to the story, which I wasnβt expecting coming into the bookβ. N.K. says this book is special due to the social commentary, which touched on issues rarely made digestible for younger readers.

A book review of "The Corruption of Hollis Brown" by N.K., a Brambleton Library Volunteer. N.K. says the book relates to generational trauma and its impacts.
N.K. read βThe Corruption of Hollis Brownβ by @kaylaancrum.bsky.social and they thought it was so good that they plan to check out other works by the author. They commented that the short chapters - only one to three pages long - created a fast-paced narration and kept their attention.

In Aqsa's opinion, this book is great for all teens. She compares it to both "Harry Potter" and "Percy Jackson," so if those are favorites of yours, "A Wild Radiance" may be your next great read.

Aqsa praised the descriptions and world-building, commenting that they were "easy to visualize, especially for a fantasy book." She also enjoyed the word choice throughout, saying that it made "certain moments feel more vivid."

One of the things that stood out to Aqsa is the real-life issues that were tackled in the book, noting that the magical setting "makes it more fun and interesting to read about, and easier to digest."

Book A Wild Radiance by Maria Ingrande Mora displayed with party decor and a sign reading βItβs a book birthday!β
Aqsa's review reads: β[This book is unique because of] its take on the role of magic in the world as something harmful in ways, rather than always good... The story begins with [the main characterβs] βbrainwashedβ perspective as their only information on the fantasy world, allowing readers to slowly understand more about their world with her. A final thing is how the main character isnβt scared to take revenge.β
It's our first book birthday celebration of 2026! Today weβre saying happy publication day to βA Wild Radianceβ a new YA fantasy dystopian novel by Maria Ingrande Mora (@mariawrites.bsky.social). One of our stellar teen reviewers, Aqsa, had the chance to read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) π§΅
