Rapeseed oil is a good cooking oil, it's sometimes labeled as "grapeseed oil" in the supermarket for obvious reasons. iirc it's similar to canola oil, and the plants make pretty flowers :3

I HAVE TOO MANY STICKERS AND SO THEY ARE ALL ON SALE
There are dragons. There are other critters. Some of these stickers are huge. Some of them are tiny. They are all on sale for $3 each because I have too many of them and I can't store them all!

i still can't believe that my favorite food here so far has been chicken intestines, kid me would be appalled. also sagada has some of the richest, creamiest yogurt ive ever tasted, it's almost worth the 6 hour bus ride up a twisty mountain road to get there

A marker sketch of a foggy mountainside at sunrise, done in blue, yellow, and green. The fog obscures the valley floor and the bottommost trees are only barely visible. The motion of the clouds is depicted with short marker strokes. The caption in the lower left corner (partially cut off) reads "Sagadaβ€”Sea of Clouds."

Do Not Comply In Advance: bossy, already a cliche, implies permission to comply later

Fuck You, Make Me: leads by example, directs yelling at opposition instead of allies, easy to chant at a protest or put on a banner

A two page spread from my sketchbook, all drawn in colored marker. The first page is dominated by a dark vignette of an intense red sunset viewed out a plane window. The caption says "Sunset over Japan from the plane window. It lasted for hours." Below that is many small drawings of the Korean food we ate at the hotel, each labeled (omelette?? eggy + meat, fried kimchi pancakes? (my fave), weird rice candy things (this one I didn't like), bulgogi (beef), shrimp fried rice, canned peaches, cookie ([name redacted]'s fave), mango juice, fried chicken, dumplings).
The second page has a large sketch of my partner walking up a snowy, forested slope, drawn in blue and pink. His back is to the viewer and he's stepping forward purposefully in the center of the image, framed by leafless trees. It's a frigid but bright and sunny day and the trees cast long shadows across his path.

Two pages in my sketchbook, drawn in colored marker. One page is captioned "Pagkain ni Antay" above many small drawings of Filipino dishes (tapsilog, ube (homemade), mangga, sinigang, isaw, "Adidas", BBQ bangus stuffed with tomatoes and ginger, tupig, danggit, ampalayang sabaw, paksiw, pandesal, kare-kare and sisig). The background is filled with yellow hearts and stars. The other page has a life drawing of a small awninged building half-hidden by a thick tree trunk, drawn in yellow and blue. It's captioned, "The refilling station and the acacia tree."

A drawing of the corner of a courtyard in yellow and red. A young mango tree in front of a raised doghouse with a tin roof. Potted plants sit along the base of the courtyard wall, and in the distance behind the doghouse is a spiky metal fence gate. The concrete floor is dappled with afternoon light. It's captioned, "The doghouse and the mango tree in the courtyard."

A double page spread in my sketchbook. One page has a drawing of the Filipino dessert taho (soft tofu with syrup and tapioca balls, served in a plastic cup with a spoon) done in red, yellow, and green; the other has my Tagalog vocab homework. Across both pages and overlapping my vocab is multiple life sketches of tropical plants.

Two pages in my sketchbook. The first page has two life drawings of the same tiny shop at night, one done in red and blue and the other done only in red. The shop is built onto the side of a house and is crammed full of crates and pouches of goods. The first drawing is captioned "The sari-sari store" and the second is captioned "(drew it again better)". On the facing page is a sketch of my partner seated writing on the arm of his chair, silhouetted by the open doorway behind him, drawn in red, pink, and yellow. He's wearing a sporty tank top with his hair in a bun at the back of his neck, and he's frowning in concentration down at the paper as he writes. The caption says "[name redacted] in the house working out his workout."
