This has bothered me for a while - I've got no clue how to parse this,, but it takes FIVE seconds for the "Archive" button in Gmail to become active after opening an email.

You can click it, it animates - but nothing fucking happens until about 5s pass and then it suddenly works.

Altho - as someone who’s inherited a some old JS projects, it’s 100% possible for this to go the other way. Dependencies piled on, all insanely out of date, making it hell to actually work on.
