I type 45wpm. If I write an 80,000 word novel, it takes 1777 hours just to type a rough draft. $7000 would be $3.94 an hour, not including revising and rewrites.

You likely pay less for gas a year than the average American even if your per gallon cost is higher, so stop whining
-Talks about Americans
-Says conversation is not about Americans
I've experienced on tornado, and it was terrifying. We had no warning at all. My neighbor on the street behind us had her whole house flip up on its side while she was inside. It ripped out our back window and pulled our carport posts out of the ground.
Tornados are right up there with earthquakes.
Sorry, I must have been confused since you used "Americans" in the first sentence. I guess I don't understand what comparison you're drawing in this post.
Americans drive more on average. Many people I work with have a 30-50 mile commute, each way. And thatβs for a low pay retail job.
Fun question!
My MC grew up in a place that frowned on most imagination and critical thinking, so it doesn't come naturally to him. After he escapes is the first time he can explore real imagination.
Hey, have you heard this song? Sometimes you just gotta pray for people π

THE MAN IN THE ARENA IT IS NOT THE CRITIC WHO COUNTS, NOT THE MAN WHO POINTS OUT HOW THE STRONG MAN STUMBLES, OR WHERE THE DOER OF DEEDS COULD HAVE DONE THEM BETTER. THE CREDIT BELONGS TO THE MAN WHO IS ACTUALLY IN THE ARENA, WHOSE FACE IS MARRED BY DUST AND SWEAT AND BLOOD; WHO STRIVES VALIANTLY; WHO ERRS, WHO COMES SHORT AGAIN AND AGAIN, BECAUSE THERE IS NO EFFORT WITHOUT ERROR AND SHORTCOMING; BUT WHO DOES ACTUALLY STRIVE TO DO THE DEEDS, WHO KNOWS GREAT ENTHUSIASMS, THE GREAT DEVOTIONS; WHO SPENDS HIMSELF IN A WORTHY CAUSE; WHO AT THE BEST KNOWS IN THE END THE TRIUMPH OF HIGH ACHIEVEMENT, AND WHO AT THE WORST, IF HE FAILS, AT LEAST FAILS WHILE DARING GREATLY, SO THAT HIS PLACE SHALL NEVER BE WITH THOSE COLD AND TIMID SOULS WHO NEITHER KNOW VICTORY NOR DEFEAT. ~ THEODORE ROOSEVELT
Sometimes continuing to write when it feels like no one is reading can be hard. Thinking our writing may not be that great or no one will ever read it really sucks.
Just remember that putting words on paper already makes you more successful than those who don't even try.

I've had this one little USB stick for 20 years, and was trying to do something so I checked its capacity.

Sooo I don't think this little guy will work.
The MC of The Escape is Christian. This makes sense, considering where he was raised. It's not the plot of the story, but an aspect of his character. I was concerned I would lose readers, but π€·ββοΈ
I imagine the Christianity of 2514 is very interesting.

E-bikes are great, but the range can be a problem. Ours got like 12 miles a charge in the fall because of the cold. But I mostly meant people who wouldn't be able to ride a bike at all.
You always have the best alt text.
I wish biking was more accessible, but I think we should be rooting for better public transit. Being able to bike has so many complicating factors, like physical ability and weather, not to mention overall safety.
A dump truck hit my wife. She doesn't bike anymore. I vote for better busses.
$30,000 replaces my income plus some so I would not be terrible upset, honestly.
The Escape is now on Royal Road!

The Escape is written in first person past tense. It is actually my first time writing first person. Everything else I have planned for Nexus of Worlds is third person past. That's not set in stone, but 3rd is where I write most often.

The ability to create and entire world, and entire universe, is really something to behold.
Now, I think daylight savings is absurd but... do yall not go to sleep an hour earlier the night before? I (usually) go to sleep at about 8 or 9PM, but 7 or 8PM the night before we spring forward.
Got me twisted if you think I'm losing an hour of sleep. I wake up at 3:30AM.
You never read Catcher in the Rye? Lucky

In the UK, people who watch TV have to pay for a TV license. It has to do with funding BBC. Currently, if you exclusively watch content such as Netflix, you don't have to pay for the license.

Thanks! I have been considering switching to Linux because of my concerns about Microsoft's privacy/AI, but I've never really had a problem with Windows 11 operation, you know?
I work in a home improvement store and see customers make some WILD choices when it comes to securing loads.
βOh, I just live down the road*.β
βSir, you still need to tie down this grill.β
*the βroadβ is a freeway, of course.
How far do you drive in a given week?
Looks interesting! Adding to the TBR.
I would like specifics on the numbers because I live in Florida, used to live in California, and I strongly feel I paid more in income taxes in CA for some reason. Canβt put my finger on whyβ¦
Seriously the only thing I miss about Arizona. No changing the freaking clocks.
Itβs time to end it.
