Yeah motorbikes are an utterly different animal, and I’d never trust myself not to just throw myself straight off the back and through a wall

Yeah it’s rather addictive when you’ve got got it

Yeah probably 2nd and let the bugger rev. It’ll do 70 in 2nd, I can’t say if I’ve pushed 3rd to the rev limit…

I'd call you all weirdo's, but looking at sales figures, I'm probably the weirdo.

I think its probably a lot to do with where you live and drives etc. Inner city they're awful getting burned & fumed, motorway is noisy. Coasts & scenic places though they're much more fun.

It's been a while but I remember reading part of that huge thread on that 7min (ish) nürburgring mk2 Golf, and he was building stuff like this for the front/rear and it was making huge differences. Fugly, but effective.

Remember you can lock 6 months in advance, and if a better deal comes up, take that instead, and if it doesn't you've at least got a deal locked in

I can get people wanting pictures, sit in it etc could be incredibly annoying, but I also figure if all the cars in the world, if you don’t want people in/on your car, you don’t own a BTTF Delorean, and you certainly don’t take it to car shows where people will see it and want to sit in it

Also Sahara sand in the sky. Cleaned mine Wednesday, it's already sandy (though it has also spent a day by the beach for double sand hits)

I've had a Topdon Artilink 600 for a few years now, paid for itself in the first use, been a good bit of kit so far.

Though watch what weight you can hang off them if they’ve not got locators. I can use the right leg thread on mine, but not a left, because the weight of anything just undoes it if it leans forwards…

Still regret selling my old (Ricoh) XR-X, bought new, sold for **** all really in the grand scheme of things. Great film camera

Yeah I’m on subs now, but I still try and pick up the stuff with staying power for the days I cease the subs

I always kept the cd’s, felt there’s a legitimacy that I should own the originals of the rips. I’ve even bought stuff that I’ve acquired ripped because it’s been in the favoured stuff and I’ve felt I should own the cd

I like having all the music on tap, especially in the car. But I miss the artwork, Easter eggs inside the folds etc, IDing well played music not by something clicking the counts, but a nicely worn spine…

Thanks, happy that that one turning out how my brain was hoping.

Tricky with that lens as you think “this might work” then find you need to walk another 1/2 mile to fit the shot in…

Photo looking out over Withernsea beach shot using a 35mm lens, in the distance in some spots, they are people.

Stood in same place, looking roughly in the same direction. Now with the 800mm and the fishermen are very much clearly visible

Anyway good to finally get out for a few hours. Didn't bag the 24-105F4L because 'weight', DID bag the 800F11 besides weight, and the 35F1.8, nothing in-between. Made for some interesting choice of compositions. These are both shot from exactly the same spot...

Today was one of those days the smartphone earns its keep. Forecast was wall to wall sunshine but woke up to fog, plan was to head to Hornsea abort? checks webcam, it’s foggy, checks withernsea just down the coast, sun just breaking through, let’s go for it, checked cams as left m62, withernsea then

I think today’s is one you either know that brand/building, or you figure which area it is in and keep missing. I fell into the latter

At least it includes a height adjustable stand. It should be included too on the Studio at that money.

It was such a revelation to the 5D (mk1) I had before, because ND filter meant taking the filter off to focus, and line the shot up, then filter back on. Curse if forgot to turn the AF off. Though compared to Canon D30 I started with they’re all utterly massive jumps

03.03.2026 22:06 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

My, and it seems wrong using the term old, but old 6D is of the vintage where suddenly it didn’t matter what ND filter was on, or how dark a hole you pointed it in, it could A) focus B) shoot what you couldn’t see. Everything since has been minor gains in that regard for me

Nice to see double the standard capacity bumps across the range, from the phones to the laptops. They've been stingy far too long. Shame they've had to nudge the Air price up £100 but seems a reasonable compromise all in

03.03.2026 16:18 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Definitely B, though I’d encourage blacking everything and adding multi-cluster quark drive

03.03.2026 13:58 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Yeah usually on the last trip, so if I’ve been bobbing around town the BM will say 150 miles left, then you‘ll do 100 miles on the motorway and arrive with 160 miles of range, then run out of fuel popping to the other side of town…

The prisons are a handy food source for the lions at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. That’s the only reason we go there
