WWI, similarly...
Trump to the UK, 6 March: "We don't need them any longer... We don't need people to join wars after we've already won!"
Trump six days later: Publicly begs for the UK to send warships.
This is a good lesson for journalists: Use plain language to state true things clearly.

Tweet from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz: Justice has been done. I welcome the decision of the Chief Military Prosecutor, Major General Itai Ofir, to close the Sde Teiman cases against IDF soldiers and to cancel the indictment against them. This trial was born in sin by the previous Military Advocate General, using a blood libel against IDF soldiers and criminal investigation methods, and I am glad that justice has been done and the trial has been canceled. The role of the IDF's legal system is to protect and safeguard IDF soldiers who engage heroically in war against cruel monsters, and not the rights of the terrorists of Hamas. I am convinced that the decision will lead to a new path.
The Defense Minister of Israel says it was "blood libel" to go after Israeli soldiers caught on camera raping a Palestinian.
I donβt know, if I spent all my time online claiming that a group of people were so terrifying and dangerous that they should be excluded from public life and any space I am in, I wouldnβt spend money to willingly go to a concert with up to 10,000 of them
First Past the Post can no longer deliver real mandates - only chaos. 60% of Brits want it scrapped.
Yet the Representation of the People Bill wonβt even touch our voting system, which leaves millions unrepresented.
Tell Keir Starmer to change this.

So to summarise: You failed to take out the regime. You failed to destroy nuclear material. You failed to eradicate Iran's retaliatory capacity. You brought chaos to the Middle East. You killed god knows how many people. You destabilised your own economy. All for nothing, but the ego of madman.
100,000 trans people & allies fill central London for Trans Pride.
Mainstream media: nothing
Thousands of trans people & allies fill Wembley Arena for pro-trans gig with massive names like Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Sugarbabes.
Mainstream media: nothing.
This is what extreme media bias looks like.

Such articulate cutting through of the nonsense around puberty blockers and eg Keira Bellβs detransitioning from Stephanie Lynnette on GMB this morning. It is also a refreshing relief to see a trans person actually being allowed to speak for once!
When I said 'Kemi Badenoch is so partisan, under her the Tories would oppose puppies and kittens if Labour said something nice about them', I didn't mean it literally.
We've won the UK's first ever SLAPP suit - acting for @danneidle.bsky.social - and made some really important law protecting the right to call out barristers whose misconduct facilitates aggressive tax avoidance.
Tonight I am going to Trans Mission, a concert in solidarity with trans people and in aid of @goodlawproject.org.
I havenβt been able to watch this video for years because it hurts. But as the UK government endangers the wellbeing and lives of young trans people, I had to share it. Watch and share.
At this point, it seems that the safest assumption is that the Trump administration simply doesn't care if the Russians are sharing information on US military assets with Iran. Putin can do what he likes, however damaging to the US, with no fear of a US response.π§΅

The governmentβs new social cohesion strategy reaffirms important liberal principles β including free expression.
But it continues to carve out special protections for religion.

Hostility against Muslims is on the rise we all have a duty to stand up against it. We are pleased to see that the new definition of anti-Muslim hostility, along with supporting guidance, does this while explicitly protecting speech that is critical of religious ideasπ§΅

EXC: Nigel Farage defends Reform-run Kent County Council increasing council tax by 3.99% despite election leaflets last year pledging to βreduce waste and cut your taxesβ.
Mr Farage told ITV News Meridian: βCutting taxes can be not putting them up as much, I suppose.β

The psychopaths driving the war are not concerned their personal wealth will take a hit.
Pretty serious allegation here. "Witnesses told the BBC that the Israeli soldiers had arrived disguised in Lebanese military fatigues and used ambulances with signs of Hezbollah's Islamic Health Organization."

It's pretty bad when you are the chief lying liar who lies and can't get one of your obsequiously subordinate lying liars who lie to lie for you because even the subordinate knows it's just too big a lie to tell for anyone but the chief lying liar who lies so much that there is no lie he won't tell.
