Any and every company that pushes users to forums for support is providing the exact opposite of support. You might as well `cat your_issue > /dev/null`.

I want UTC-4 in Atlanta, GA 365 days per year.
Hey now, I 100% want permanent DST π
It's still an LTS cycle. If "support" completely ended when the next version is released, then I'd agree.
Going back to the actual post: I look forward to seeing how this impacts contributing to @nodejs.org. At the moment, I am very much disincentivized to contribute because it's going to be at least two years before I can actually use my contribution.
When we say βspare timeβ we give the impression that the work is easy and doesnβt take much time. βPersonal timeβ is a much stronger description and better reflects the cost associated with maintaining OSS.
Love this. But one note: it says βspare time.β A couple of years ago I had a realization and now refuse to use spare or βfreeβ time like phrases. I now call it what it is: personal time. I think this does a much better job of imparting just how impactful the actions of maintainers really are. 1/2
Blues mostly just look the same.

I suppose I was expecting some sort of callback or event. Given that I only tried to use it once, and decided I couldn't see the point to try again, I likely don't have enough information to provide a good answer.
So that just sounds like a fantastic way to generate leaks under the guise of "well, I tried (but not really)."
The one time I tried to use AbortSignal, I found it annoying that there's no way to notify the thing that triggered the abort that the actions are complete. Really just don't see the point in it because of that. Hopefully these new things address that

Not once have I done that. π― I disparage the βtechβ that has, and will, make our lives worse.
Correction: their "free" vendor lock-in promotion.
Not to be insensitive, but we canβt even repair our own crumbling shit.

It's been Math.rand() time units, time to `npm login` before you can do anything.
Oh thank Zeus! @github.com decided to restore my ability to turn off the βnewβ PR review interface.
Thatβs been the clearest signal for me: code littered with useless comments.
We agree about 80-90% of the way, it's those other percent that would drive it
Maybe @jordan.har.band and should start a radio show π
Not sure thatβs enough to get me off 14
Iβll believe it when I see it. And then Iβll be looking for a nice beach to live on because this whole shitshow is going to collapse and leave us all jobless
Will they? Their insistence is the only reason I have ever used any of these tools.

Glad I donβt use that browser. Might as well just release every day. Itβll be just as disruptive.
Your affinity for this bygone era definitely exceeds mine
Dependabot just casts Psychic Scream at maintainers all day every day
TouchΓ©!
They really aren't.

I just don't understand why you'd want audio from YouTube to begin with. It's super compressed and poor quality
