Interrail Global Pass for Europe The Interrail Global Pass is the fun and cheap way to see more of Europe. Travel to up to 33 countries with one train pass!

De Interrail-passen staan weer op 15 procent korting (voor reizen binnen dit en elf maanden). Doe er je voordeel mee! (En als je vragen hebt over hoe dat werkt, dan is reisbureau Gatzios beschikbaar.)

They obviously might, but I believe that info is there because when booking, you ultimately 'talk' to the same reservation system as used by their regular site. So it serves an internal purpose at least to have the exact train listed.

Of course, just looking at the prices on their site would give you a good indication as well. The 07:56 and 17:56 departures must have the lightest loads.

Essentially, they make you pick one of two VERY broad time blocks - up to 7 hours. But surely, they'll put you on whatever train has the most empty seats and set the fare based on the number of unsold seats? And yes, it turns out that their API shows the exact train already πŸ˜‚ (2/2)

I've been looking into Eurostar's 'Snap' site that lets you book last minute train tickets at a somewhat decent discount. As it goes with these kind of schemes, you have to be very flexible. But not quite as flexible as they make you believe. (1/2)

Het was denk ik van de pandemie geleden dat we nog eens iets met de 'Popular Times' data van Google gedaan hadden, maar het was er de week wel voor 😎 De tekst is van @thomasroelens.bsky.social, de data en het gepruts van yours truly.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, there are big price differences between Train + Flight itineraries and that same route without the first and last legs. This, for example, is Cologne-Kinshasa vs Brussels-Kinshasa. (But 5h14 between plane and train? Ouch)

I know, from experience, what you mean 😎 But really, any 'attempt' is welcome at BRU. Also, if Brussels Airlines is selling tickets for Cologne-BRU-XXX, at least they 'believe' it's going to be somewhat OK? 🀞

There's going to be a new high-speed rail connection at Brussels Airport. Finally.

Why are we reaching out?

You have booked a crossing with our ship within the period of 1st of May 2026 to 31st of October 2026.

However, the booking you have made is completed with an end net price of 0,- DKK. This is of course an incorrect price which differs substantially from the correct price you were informed about.

This has occurred due to a system failure. As there is no payment the crossing is seen as unpaid and will be cancelled.

They did eventually send me a mail. Including a very clear explanation (including contact information for their Head of Legal should I want to reach out πŸ€”), a discount code for 10% and a good part about not linking to their site to avoid looking like a phishing scan. All very classy!

Gotta (somehow) love these 'pie in the sky' airline startups. Like AIRIDEA, from Italy but operated by Dutch AIS. They plan flights from Genoa to 11 destinations, 3 of which don't have any scheduled operations yet. With 19-seaters, a 65% load and somehow profitability within the year. #AvGeek

That sounds like a great one! I flew GVA-FCO-YYZ-CDG-VCE in good old Alitalia times. A bit of a detour but a steal at 240 euro. And back in 2019, Condor sold me a one way Frankfurt to Whitehorse for just 99 euro. I actually don't think that was a mistake as it was the last flight of the season.
