Today’s flea market run ended with me picking up two Bread albums on vinyl for my wife (she’s collecting their full discography), while my own nostalgic impulse steered me toward cassettes. I don’t have many, but I occasionally grab the ones I used to listen to in my youth.

Moved from AirPods 3 → AirPods 4 (non-Pro). Didn’t expect such a serious leap between two neighboring generations of the same product.
They’re more anatomical, fit like they were molded for my ears.
Sound is clearly better, with genuinely pleasant bass.
And yeah — the ANC here is surprisingly good.

In 1990, two albums neatly summed up the evolution of 80s electropop: Violator by Depeche Mode and Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys.

Just in case, I'll reiterate that my primary social network is Bluesky. I answer questions and comment on posts there. Attempts to engage in conversation on Mastodon, and even more so on Threads, will likely be ignored. I rarely visit these platforms and only do so through the web interface.

Well, Croissant is a decent and FREE app for cross-posting, but not for reading your feeds. This significantly limits its use cases. Don't pay attention to the subscription options window — for basic needs, the app works perfectly well in free mode.

A few recent additions to my vinyl record collection.

This is my hometown. I left four years ago, and with every news report and photo, I realize that much of the city I remember and called home for 47 years will likely be gone by the war’s end. The exact timing and outcome of the war remain uncertain, but my city is under almost daily bombardment.
