๐ It was so cute. I left the parking lot giggling like a little kid. Sometimes we just need that human connection!
So I joked, well yeah but at least YOUโRE warm here right? She said yeah youโre right and I said thank you again and went to get in my car. Except she didnโt hear me say thank you. She heard something else, because she gasped and whirled to face me and said โI love YOUUU!โ
The woman popped up and offered to help me open my car door so I could put everything inside. I was so grateful I offered to give her a hug and said โthank you, happy new year!โ She said, have fun with your family I wish I could spend time with mine, but theyโre all in Chicago.
The woman mentioned she had been waiting for 30 minutes for her order already and I said next time you can call it in! Maybe five minutes later they called my name and I took my three pizza boxes, container of spaghetti and chicken parm and antipasto salad to my car.
She said she had moved here from Chicago and wasnโt used to how we do things here yet and she laughed when I said I was spending NYE with my mom and brothers because I โlooked like a princessโ (I was wearing a headband studded with rhinestones)
On NYE I stopped at our favorite pizza place for pick up and saw a woman standing to the side who was chatting in a friendly manner with the people waiting in line. I always like to encourage people who are willing to go out of their way like this so I smiled and struck up a conversation too.
