Spain’s MEP Irene Montero speaking to reporters

Irene Montero: No woman has ever been freed by American bombs or illegal aggression β€” Not in Syria. Not in Iraq. Not in Afghanistan. It will not happen in Iran either

When they want to sell their oil wars, their wars for profit, their imperial wars β€” they hide behind women’s rights to justify them

Perhaps it's time to admit that the experiment of having a group of failed reality TV celebs run the world's most powerful nation state has failed. Running a country for ratings rather than prosperity was probably not a very good idea to begin with.

When Trump dodges a question by attacking the reporter some MAGA maybe think it's cute, that the press deserve it but mostly Dump looks like the piece of shit he is. Pam Bondi using the same tactic with congress REALLY looked like an even worse piece of shit, if that's possible.

If the United States were in South or Central America I'm pretty sure the United States would have already invaded, deposed the corrupt dictator, and freed the people from the tyranny of the secret police.

Lee Foust's review of Suspended Sentences 5/5: I really enjoyed these three novelettes. Oddly, in a way, given how similar are all of Modiano's narratives are in their mystery and reliance on fleeting memories and the huge lacunae in the memo...
