An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.
It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.

I'm starting to seriously think about trying to make foam cosplay armor, and it's entirely because I want to develop my "Sexy Magneto" drag routine.
Also, it's weird being loyal to a comic book shop because I feel like I'm cheating on them if I go to a different one. I was on vacation during Free Comic Book Day a couple years ago and went to a shop in that town, and I felt like I was having an affair.
One of my goals for this year is to be more budget-conscious, and the hardest part of this is accepting it may benefit me (and my dwindling storage space) to cut back on the comics I buy. Going digital might also be a more economical option, but I like supporting my local comic book shop.
I think a kid in my neighborhood was selling lemonade this weekend, but it was hard to tell because they were just standing in their yard holding up a piece of paper that had a drawing of a glass of lemonade on it. Whatever they were doing, I respect the effort.

That can definitely be an issue, but I think it's largely something that can happen in peer groups of teens and young adults as opposed to parents and teachers assuming a child is trans and deciding to "transition" them (which anti-trans activists often claim happens).

I hadn't quite articulated it, but this article does a good job of breaking down a trend I've seen recently. In addition to bringing back some of these older, sexualized costumes, I feel like there's been a trend of titles that take place at earlier points in continuity, at least for the X books.
Two very plain truths:
1) This almost certainly can’t stand any legal challenge, especially with the precedent set last year WRT passports.
2) The point of this law isn’t to last. It’s to harass, sew confusion, and force undesirables out.

This is the flip side of the hyper focus on trans issues by the right. The national media ignores what's actually being done to trans people.
This erasure is what contributes to the persecution.

So much of my bucket list is just animals I want to see or pet (depending on whether they're domesticated/friendly). One of my few regrets is that I had a chance to touch a pet snake when I was a kid and passed it up.
1. Wanted to go to law school, but was worried about the job market. Decided to study paralegal studies instead.
2. Took a break from the paralegal studies program when I got a full-time office job at a university.
3. Stayed in higher ed and got my M.Ed.
