Home security systems are safety theater. They make us feel like weโre in control, but they donโt actually reduce the risk of violence.
If anything, theyโre a part of a broader, predatory industry that exploits our fears and *increases* the risk of violence to keep us spending money.

GOP congressman from Tennessee Andy Ogles posted on Ex-Twitter on March 9: โMuslims don't belong in American society. Pluralism is a lie.โ
โPluralism is a lieโ
ย
That really captures the essence of MAGA: A movement at war with the reality of American life and a large portion of the population.
ย
And it also points to one of the regimeโs key weaknesses: They have fully bought into their own white nationalist propaganda.

It's here! @acidlich.bsky.social created this beautiful cover art, perfect as a representation of the book. While students will mostly be interacting with the book digitally, I'm very excited for the printed copies that we'll be making to give to students as well!

Today is MAR 10, aka Mario day. It is also extremely close to the spring equinox.
This implies a cycle of Wario Day (fall equinox), Luigi Day (summer solstice), and Waluigi Day (winter solstice).
It's, like, their whole deal. It's also why *actual* education is their kryptonite
You know who DO believe in generational projects of cultural transmission though? Fascists
Happy Super Mar10 Day ๐

"Ultra-processed" is for MAHA what "woke" is for MAGA.
The emptiness of the signifier is a feature for them, not a bug
This is the heart of the problem. "Ultra-processed" foods are considered unhealthy due to their chemical additives or their calorie density but neither of those have anything to do with "processing"!
This is just the word people use to talk about foods they don't like. Scientists should do better.

That does not sound like the actions of a man who had "all" he could eat
