yeah, I didn't mean to say that they were amoral, just that when it comes to technical issues (that might indeed rise from their objectives that are set from their values) such as energy production they're usually dealt with from a scientific standpoint rather than waging a cultural war as in the US

In China they have a more practical approach. If they could they would just get rid of all coal plants for nuclear and other renewables. They're only bounded by what's technologically and economically available, not a weird moralistic view of energy.

it's the same as the different attitudes towards energy that both countries have
In the US there's a moralistic view about the sources of energy. Some view renewable energy as evil, some see nuclear as evil and others see fossil fuels as evil (the most sensible position, but it is still moralistic)

The problem is that despite the relatively juicy salaries no one wants to do Elderly Care, yet the elderly needs to be cared for anyway.
Not only that, but the population pyramid means that there won't be enough people to do Elderly Care in the future even if they all wanted to.

I don’t know what flags you mean, but Playa Cocles is one of the few beaches around there with lifeguards because of how dangerous it is. It is possibly the most dangerous beach in the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica
It’s not recommended for swimming, although it is a popular surfing spot.

Do you prefer DVDs to Blu-ray’s in general? Or is it just that you have a lot of DVDs?
I was thinking of starting a Blu-ray collection, mostly because I don’t see the advantage of DVDs other than the prices

Funny how Bonzi Buddy, one of the more infamous examples of spyware, was mostly guilty of tracking user info to shove ads on the user. Nowadays that’s basically how, yknow, *everything* works to the point that you have to ask apps not to do that.

And it’s crazy because Deepseek R1 being open source benefits all companies both Chinese and USian, whether in furthering their research or in enabling more providers to offer more advanced models for cheap.
