Went to a show of all female fronted metal bands this weekend and I have to show some love to the band @disarae.bsky.social and I both thought were the highlight of the night.

Only on their 3rd gig together and Sapient Scar were fantastic. Hoping for big things for them.

Asked @disarae.bsky.social to film me doing some back stuff last night just for general form check and to see my back development. Need to wear a different cut tank for that, but this one probably answers the question she always asks of:

“Why do we get odd looks in the gym?”

Finally getting around to listening to the new Paradise Lost album (six months later) today… damn this is a real good one.

As someone who absolutely loves both Opera and Ballet… they are beautiful art forms to take in and enjoy. More people should open themselves up to that experience and it sucks that we have made it something so hard to enjoy due to the average cost to attend.

My hot take on opera and ballet: I don’t know hardly anything about the art forms, but being in a room while someone is dancing or singing is like watching actual magic to me, so I can’t imagine disparaging it 🤷🏻‍♂️

And if anyone is wondering… the little shrugs I do at the end of the sets is just a way to hit full failure. Im basically getting some extra partial reps by doing scapular retractions with the weight.

First set is a warm up with two plates on each side. Second set from the side has just over 3 plates per side (I think I had 145 per side loaded on)

Pull downs were at 160-170? Not sure which set it was. It wasn’t my heavy set but one of the sets after (but not the drop set at the end.

It’s like… all respect to the skill involved. As someone who has done my share of real life grappling… it’s mostly boring as fuck to watch.

It’s hilariously fucked up that we have a system where Ryan Murphy can treat Daryl Hannah and other living and dead people as free-use characters, but you have to wait 100 years to mess with Steamboat Willy and Winnie the Pooh.
