Was I planning to sing Black Metal by Venom at Karaoke last night? No.

Had I practiced it or even attempted it? Also no.

But… I was inspired. So fuck it… didn’t turn out too bad.

(For those unaware or younger than 5000… the EVIL was a reference to another Venom song… yes I’m explaining my joke.)

Someone did Motörhead and I was like… gotta keep the old school speed metal going… but also… ya know…. EVIL

Went to a show of all female fronted metal bands this weekend and I have to show some love to the band @disarae.bsky.social and I both thought were the highlight of the night.

Only on their 3rd gig together and Sapient Scar were fantastic. Hoping for big things for them.

Finally getting around to listening to the new Paradise Lost album (six months later) today… damn this is a real good one.

Not all heroes wear capes. But we should give him the key to a city.

It should have just summarized it as “Whoop whoop.”

As someone who absolutely loves both Opera and Ballet… they are beautiful art forms to take in and enjoy. More people should open themselves up to that experience and it sucks that we have made it something so hard to enjoy due to the average cost to attend.

My hot take on opera and ballet: I don’t know hardly anything about the art forms, but being in a room while someone is dancing or singing is like watching actual magic to me, so I can’t imagine disparaging it 🤷🏻‍♂️

And if anyone is wondering… the little shrugs I do at the end of the sets is just a way to hit full failure. Im basically getting some extra partial reps by doing scapular retractions with the weight.

First set is a warm up with two plates on each side. Second set from the side has just over 3 plates per side (I think I had 145 per side loaded on)

Pull downs were at 160-170? Not sure which set it was. It wasn’t my heavy set but one of the sets after (but not the drop set at the end.
