Sometimes self care is getting to work on Monday, feeling exhausted and booking Thursday off. And boy am I now glad of that decision. Tomorrow's self care is all the Christmas presents wrapping day.
One of the perks when working from home on a cold day, is getting the slow cooker on in the morning to enjoy a hearty bowl of stew in the evening. Mission accomplished!
To deal with the lingering travel sickness, I did make comfort food. Sometime simple can't be beaten (unlike this egg which was fried 😆)
I hate how once I feel travel sick, that's it the rest of the day is a write off as I feel an undercurrent of queasy. What a sorry way to have spent my afternoon off from work today 😅
Got to enjoy the last episode of Midst season 3 and the following roundtable on my travels today. Am excited to catch the crew perform in Moonward when I next have the time. My ears yearn for more auditory deliciousness!
10/10 would recommend the midst podcast if you are looking for something new!
Every night: I will get up half an hour earlier to properly wake up and make a cup of freshly ground filter coffee.
Every morning: snoozes the alarm to dangerously late times. Drinks sad instant coffee at work considering what could have been if I had some self control.
I also loved playing I Was a Teenage Exocolonist this year too.
Oh and recent (audio)books include Dune, The Dresden Files and The Wheel of Time (currently on The Fires of Heaven).
Oh and the moustache in the profile pic isn't a permanent feature, just for movember 😁
And to finish off the introductory posts, love me some Netrunner. Got to play at my first circuit opener and UK regionals this year. I did very average with a Loup deck (post Knobkierie ban, I know, insanity!) and PD.
I also love TTRPGs! Wish I could play them more often... D&D 5e, OSE, Blades in the Dark, Ironsworn and Ironsworn: Starforged, Cortex Prime, and lastly Call of Cthulhu (play this in a cabin by candlelight, it's the best way).
Board games that are my jam: Root, Arcs, Dune Imperium, War of Whispers, Vale of Eternity, Startups, Scout, War of the Rings Card Game, Race for the Galaxy, 6 Nimmt, 7 Wonders, Roll Player, Great Western Trail, Valeria Card Kingdoms.
