GDQ Time! www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick
@grasshyren
I'm that guy who used to post silly league of legends videos! But now I primarily stream on twitch Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/grasshyren/schedule Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@Grasshyren VODs: https://www.youtube.com/@GrasshyrenVODs
FLUTE GUY LETSGO!!!
I'm using the Video Player's URL to render the webm from my harddrive directly onto the object's mesh at runtime. I have a script handle the local URL and hit play. Also, did you apply the alpha through unity itself, or did you render a semi-transparent webm?
Okay, was able to demonstrate exactly what it looks like! And did a few different tests to figure out excatly how it works. Here is a link to the timestamp in the vod: youtu.be/aniZKooiTRE?...
Might have to click the link if the embed doesn't automatically go to the timestamp, sorry embed weirdness!
Couldn't quickly hunt down the examples I had in mind, sorry! But to sum it up, the top Z axis video's alpha can cause lower Z axis videos to also become semi-transparent it is a very interesting side effect to see in action!
You can also have multiple transparent webms play over top of each other in Unity! Just be aware that if the webm uses values between 1-99 and not just 0 or 100 there can be unintended side effects with the alpha layers. I'll see if I can hunt down an example of this happening!
Do you have a link to the video itself? I wasn't able to find it on the bluesky feed, but also I'm a ding dong.
Here is the VOD from the stream with timestamps in the description of noteworthy bugs we encountered while playing the demo: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
I hope this will be helpful in replicating and squashing the ones we found! And again, I had a great time with the demo personally!
Hello! I happened upon your game development in a Bluesky feed and wishlisted your game on steam. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the demo notification in my email today! I gave it a go on stream and had a good time with it! I may have broken a few things, but it was still a good time!
Brave little toaster energy! miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fi...
For patch notes I go to the game wiki or the steam community -> news if the developer posts there.
For news on the game, back to that steam community -> news if they post there, if not then whatever social media they post to, or fan news sites.
I saw this game in the next fest and was surprised to also spot it in the California Fire Relief Bundle a few days later! So if you're on the fence, you can pick it up and help out a good cause: itch.io/b/2863/calif...
It's finally time, happy release day! store.steampowered.com/app/1984020/...
Can you give more details on it? Someone might be able think of some possible conditions that could be causing it!
You've gotta give it at least 10 seconds, it gets sooo good!
And the time is now! To watch speedruns for charity: www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick
Oooo that's neat!
Definitely couldn't have without the video!
I see a wind spell -> doubler -> doubler that causes the squiggly arc -> squiggly arc that affects both previous doubles causing different spread arcs -> (Unsure on the butterfly) -> fireball -> on expire -> explosion
Had a lot of fun playing a ton of games this year, didn't realize how much time I had on Last Epoche, but dang was it a fun time!

I hope you didn't have to change too much because of us!
If anyone needs some convincing to pick up the game and give it a go, I have a playlist of gameplay. BUT, once you're sold do yourself a favor and play through the game yourself, it's truly a special experience! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxn3...
:O You've been making more games, I'm so glad!!! The Wizard and the Slug was such a fun experience the whole way through! The story and each of the side characters were fantastic in their own right with the banana being my favorite! I'm so glad to find you making more games!
Has anyone had any success in parsing Youtube stream chat into their projects? The baseline Youtube API quota is waaay too low to use for such, offering approximately an hour of reading chat before running out for the day. So I'm looking for alternative methods to go about this!

Quirky weapons?! I'm all about this!
Sita's Icon > Hano's Sprite > Sita's Spirte would be my favs
