Yeah it takes up space but made us have a proper clear out, there was stuff in there dating back to the war if the roses so needed doing. Also the insulation in the box is ace for padding out 50 year old VW seats.

Not done a leg of lamb for ages, usually slow cook it at 100c for 6-8 hours on a bed of onions and carrots with about 1cm of boiling water in the bottom of the tin, gravy is amazing.

Legally I never have to MOT the Beetle again but it's in for some front suspension work soon and they'll go over every inch of it to make sure it's up to scratch. If they spot a problem it'll get fixed immediately.

I live near Longbridge when the Metro was launched. Saw them go from the new in thing to rotten cheap bangers. I'd love another one, a nice one, but even they are getting out of reach now.
