A few kinks to work out still, but I've started the process of figuring out how to perform some of the songs from the new album.
I've decided to do a back and forth thing. Re-release an old album. Make a new album. Like when actors do fun artsy shit for themselves between Hollywood blockbusters, lol.
The album still has a charm for me, even if I find it a bit embarrassing these days, though. So, if I can get it sounding even 20% better, I'll be pretty damn happy.
That first album was recorded on a Boss BR-8 using zip disks and shit. You can actively hear me learn about panning halfway through the album, lol. And not to mention how impossible it was to do any real automations with that hardware. EQ and comp? What's that?
I've always been sad that I don't have stems from my very first album. Because, while the album is shitty, it could be slightly less shitty if I could redo the mix today. Trying some stem separation tools and it's...not perfect, but probably enough to fix some of the worst issues! So that's fun!
Just a quick suggestion to follow Gary Taxali. He makes a lot of really cool protest art, in this lovely minimalist style.

Love when I get a spam e-mail saying "I was looking through your site, and noticed your SEO isn't optimized..." because that basically just immediately proves that you haven't even looked at my site. Because nothing about my site would indicate that SEO was my fuckin' goal, lol.
Got sick last week but it was actually one of the mildest sicknesses I've had in quite some time. Just the lightest of colds. Didn't even have a sore throat. A nice departure from the various bouts of COVID and flu I've battled in recent years, lol.
