Artist Book House received a grant from Pitch Your Peers Chicago! Their mission is to engage women in local philanthropy and to collectively fund grants to nonprofit initiatives that serve Cook County. Thanks to Tara Maher for pitching ABH, and to PYP Chicago for their generous support!
We’re thrilled to announce that Artists Book House has been selected for a Chicago Community Development Grant! As one of ten recipients out of 167 applicants, we’re honored to receive this grant, which will help us renovate our building into Chicago’s dedicated Book Arts hub.
Artists Book House wishes Edward Gorey a happy 100th birthday! Many of us here at ABH draw great inspiration from the weird, wonderful work of Edward Gorey, born here in Chicago on Feb. 22, 1925.
