but you shouldn't give governments or payment processors power to ban things based on morals, and ONLY morals, because it's a short step to you not lining up with their morals
Thinking about how on Monday I got overwhelmed by mail at work, dealt with the reminders of that mail overload yesterday, today has been somewhat normal, tomorrow I’m attending the funeral of the relative of a friend, Friday I’ve got to be practically done packing for a trip. It’s quite a week.

It’ll be such a big, unnecessary weight off of all our shoulders. I seriously don’t get how the people begging and cheering for this constant barrage of censorship don’t have better things to do.
Spaces for kids have been destroyed or re-worked into stores, adult spaces aren't allowed to be actually "adult" lest we anger the CC companies, and supposedly neutral spaces are full of gambling/porn ads, disinformation, and right-wing pipelines. An internet that is increasingly not for anyone.

The "no furries with humans" rule is consistently one that sites have been forced to implement and that's how you know it's from payment processor pressure.
It isn't a coincidence that these TOS changes all look very similar. It's because it's the same few companies making these sites do it.
That sucks. Hope your finances and your mental health subsequently can improve.

I do get the panic to an extent because time and again we’ve seen that good things such as they are on the internet don’t last. I don’t think this site will last forever and I don’t know what the future holds but I don’t think we need to consider this place dead yet.
I know people are worried about the change in leadership here but I always figured Bluesky was considered worth it for the art and people and in spite of it’s questionably competent(to put it mildly) leadership. Like I always thought the leadership here was considered the weakest part of this site.
