Had a lovely chat with Marjorie Brennan from @irishexaminer.bsky.social about the travesty that is "Wuthering Heights" and delighted to see she quoted my initial reaction to it which was and still is, did Emily Bronte die for this ๐

Lol, I set this question as one of my essays this year: โNo one who likes Yeats is capable of human intimacy.โ (Sally Rooney, Conversations with Friends). Defend Yeats, making reference to Yeats and Gregory's Cathleen ni Houlihan. The responses have been MEGA.
Just a few days left to send us your abstracts for "James Joyce in Relation: Gender, Labour, Legacy". Deadline is Jan 1st.
Congratulations Kevin, you absolute legend!!! Proud to know you โค๏ธโค๏ธ๐ฅฐ
My third collection, Landscape with Question, will be published in June 2026 with @carcanet.bsky.social. It started out as a biography in verse of Nano Reid, then became something else entirely. ๐๐๐๏ธ๐ฑ

The poet Ellen Dillon read at OโBhรฉal go Bรฉal tonight to a packed house. What an artist. Master of craft and scholar of poetry. Proof that good writing takes time and effort. Excited for her next book. Properly achieved poetry tonight. No short cuts.
