The core revelation here is that Trump has lost the public *on the mass deportations themselves* and not just on ICE's brutal tactics. We have been arguing this for months but media has simply refused to acknowledge it. Now so obvious that it can't be avoided
I think this is in part because no one in the US or Israel gives a shit about the human cost, but at least in the US the economic costs do have political impact.
Even though I'm an economist, I wish there was more focus on the human suffering from this war and less focus on the economic consequences. Hundreds of little girls are dead, and we're worried about oil prices.
So who just made billions of dollars shorting oil for the few minutes that Trump's energy secretary Chris Wright had that post up?
