PS. Your right about alcohol but it doesn't have the same number of violent crime gangs associated with it. Mind you it did during the USA's prohibition period.

There are probably as many reasons as the people who take them, for the first few times. After that the screaming monster of addiction demands satiation more and more.
Your right about the money but there has to be the political will not just the rhetoric.

So have I, hence the comment. The only other alternative is international cooperation to target the sources and cut off supplies. Sadly this isn't going to happen so the violent crime associated with the trade will continue to proliferation.

Sorry but, in this instance, I think there is merit in this. The so called war on drugs was lost long ago and we need a change in tactics.
