I have been thinking about the Japanese logos a bit lately and how an english adaptation should have the spiky bits too, so, good.

Like, the concept of Servants feel in service of exploring Shirou's character, about "heroism". This is perfectly sound when viewing FSN as a single piece of work.
But Fate is a series now, and that creates a sort of "thematic drift" where an element of the setting now has to serve other functions.
Playing through Fate/stay night for the first time has been really interesting because the original story is very squarely concerned with the notion of what a "hero" is. The Servants feel in service of this theme.
But expanding into the franchise, the Servants don't really need to do that any more.

i'm really just tired of the "here's a thing that is supposedly better in one or two specific ways but broken or worse in many others. you have no choice in this decision and have been upgraded automatically. enjoy your next fucking" attitude. tired of redoing shit that already works.
Also the current maintainer of mkxp-z updated it to support JPG XL and I'm just like.
you do realise 99% of RPG Maker games use PNGs right
you realise RPG Maker *the editor* only supports PNG and standard JPGs right
you realise 70% of RM game size are the sound files right
It feels misdirected.
I *use* webp on my own website and I also say fuck webp.
"WebP compresses better, don't you want the internet to be fast!?" yeah i do maybe we could work on not embedding twenty megabytes of trackers and other bullshit JavaScript so your page runs without adblocking most of it first. no? then fuck webp. that's my opinion
Actually happened to me once. Spent a good year being Amaterasu everywhere. Got a bunch of commissions as Amaterasu.
I'm so tired of this burnout. And the fascism. And the fascism burnout.
I used to be more regularly productive with art and gamedev, but noooooo, brain has to go and be *tired* just being *conscious*.
Someone spilt Tales Of protagonists into the Final Fantasy mixing pot. Those are Tales characters.
To be clear I mean "repost" in the classic (real) sense, people making *new* posts with art or memes or AI-generated photography all "look at this thing I found".
also we shouldn't have furries reposting things in *general*, if it's not art you made or art you commissioned (and got permission) don't goddamn post it for the social currency oh my god
Seriously we should not be having furries blindly reposting AI garbage and then not *deleting the post* when called out about it. If the AI labeller was still around it would at least dissuade rebsweets and it wouldn't look super embarrassing for everyone involved.
Media workers arenβt so much being replaced by AI systems as fed to one: Googleβs gluttonous AI Overviews, which summarize articles and present them to users in one easy-to-read digest. The firm looked at data from Ahrefs tracking web traffic to 10 major tech outlets from early 2024 to early 2026. At their peak, the media companies brought in 112 million site visits per month from Google users in the US. By January of this year, that number was down to a little under 50 million β with some outlets losing over 90 percent of their traffic since the new feature rolled out. And the real sob story is tech outlet Digital Trends, which went from 8.5 million clicks a month in March 2024 to a heartbreaking 264,861 in January 2026. Thatβs an astonishing decline β a drop-off of 97 percent of US web traffic from Google.
This has always been the point - at some point Google realised that, despite being a search engine, they hated that people were *leaving Google to go to other websites*. Like Facebook and Twitter, they want you to stay on their websites.

god we need that AI labeller back
What gave it away?? Were you wearing a therian pendant~...
The US becomes the first country in the world with an animal mascot for a president who is directed by a committee of upper management staff that you never see.
Re boosts: it really fuckin' blows that because a Certain Someone is on the voice cast of the bad cat game its lead to a resurgence of people thinking its okay to treat autistic peoples' lives as entertainment because they maybe (didn't) do a bad thing once and therefore deserve it (they don't).
see also all the zoomers to whom it's socially acceptable to talk about having an interest in "lolcows." i could go on and on
there's a constant background radiation of ableism on the internet these days that makes it very not fun to use. never know when i'm gonna stumble across someone casually being incredibly cruel about autistic people, either implicitly or explicitly
Text from a file in Pokemon Pokopia starting with "CDs are cool little gadgets used by out great-great-grandparents to listen to all their favorite music."
pokopia is sending me with this
I don't think I could engage in that "pretend to be an A-I" site because I would get decision paralysis on putting extreme amounts of effort into my response (especially if asked for art), or trying to commit to the bit of being extremely wrong.
argh oh man you know what this reminds me of, there was this site where you could send letters out and they'd arrive to a random receiver, "space letters" or something. It was blue and orange schemed. It lead to a lot of sweet "hey you will make it, you got this" supportive messages.
You don't have a local brand of hot chocolate powder?? D:
