My son is vegetarian and has been for years and has said he has never found anything that replaces bacon, much to his disappointment ๐

First day back after a weeks leave... the next six weeks are going to be hard work ๐
I remember us all at EdExec waiting to find out whether you had got the role. Where has the time gone?!
Well done Micon, we were in London today and could see them running along the embankment and it looked like hard work.
RA Summer Exhibition tickets booked โ๏ธ
The sun comes out and you have to send round the dress code reminder via email again. Every year. Every bloomin' year!
Absolutely Andy... in Kent parents have to apply and some may not have the knowledge or understanding of how to do that. Every school I've worked in I have pushed and pushed this and supported parents in applying, but we still miss people.
A great place to work - please share!

I'm taking early retirement... although I'm also looking for a part time role to keep my brain active!
Fancy being the School Business Manager of a medium sized SEMH indy special school? My role is up for grabs as from September. It's a lovely school with a great staff team and amazing students. Advert going up soon!
Sunshine and fresh air on a 7 mile walk to Canterbury and back today.
We have some outstanding unqualified teachers at our special, they are more than capable of leading high quality lessons.
Piece work has been around for years. My mum spent years working in the fields, and she was often paid for picks not hours.
You need to staff it. Staff are expensive, even when on minimum wage.
No. English schools trying to balance already stretched budgets.
Aaaahh, half term. Just me and the facilities team. Peace and quiet to get on with some bigger bits I don't normally get round to.
I love this idea ๐
Are there many SBM's going to Ed Exec Live in London? I haven't been for a few years and quite fancy it ๐
This is an interesting one...why was nobody at the school initially checking this over? Do you ever look at your PTA accounts? www.kentonline.co.uk/tunbridge-we...
Please try and convince them all to stay home and not come into school, I like the peace and quiet ๐
Really clear data. If schools were better funded for more staff at the very beginning, and the appropriate support put in place, then EHCP's would reduce, thus taking pressure off overcrowded maintained and Academy specials, preventing a need for expensive indy provision.
I was an exclusion officer for the LA for eight years back in the early 2000's... carrying a knife was always a permanent exclusion and rightly so.
Exactly that.
Definitely a possibility ๐
It's just one ridiculous sentence after another from him.
I've had such a lovely week. I've got my work up to date, had conversations with staff members I don't normally see and have had lunch with some amazing students. The best week in a long long time.
Lovely day in London walking the Regents Canal from Kings Cross to Paddington. Then the National Portrait Gallery and South Bank.
Access is an awful system. The group I work for uses it for finance and HR and it makes life miserable. This unfortunately doesn't come as a surprise.
I've reached the point in the term where things that can wait are in the 'do during half term' folder ๐
I'm genuinely surprised that so many people opt out.
