On a random street in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico, there were a bunch of crates filled with books, set up right on the sidewalk outside! It was almost an entire block; many people were browsing their next read. So happy to see this! #Medsky #Booksky

Medical jargon sounds intimidating--that's why I create simple illustrations—for a non-medical audience.

My 16-year-old daughter is studying abroad in Cologne, Germany. She sent me this pic. It's an old-fashioned telephone booth repurposed into a modern-day 'lending library.' As a book lover, this put a smile on my face. A reminder of how creativity can bring new life to old things! #Medsky #Booksky
In 2016, I was in rural Nepal to help a new hospital. I heard avocados (not common) sell well in KTM, esp to tourists. I met a farmer w/ an avocado tree and asked if we could plant a sapling at the hospital. Maybe it could help? Today, the staff sent me a photo of the tree, now ready to bear fruit.💚
