Side 1 is flawless.
Fave sidenote about this album is that cranking Hit It And Quit It when you're in a backyard summer music war with your neighbors always wins. It's a knockout blow.

Paradigm bookshelf. They pack a punch in a small room. Got them for about 400 bucks. They compensate for having an unspectacular turntable.
I leaned it on a tree out front and called the scrap metal boys. They seemed bummed that it was fastened to a massive piece of wood, but still took it.
Dismantling it was tragic. The back wall of this thing weighed about 350 lbs.
On deck:
We did some reno work a few years ago so I had to get rid of a nice old upright piano like that that was in great shape. I tried to donate it to anyone and everyone and nobody was interested. All the schools and churches said go pound sand. Had to take it apart with a sledgehammer near the end.
The new speakers fucking love this album.
Making a list of "records I haven't put on since upgrading my speakers a few years ago but really should." Checking this one off the list right now.

It's really good. This reissue was pretty cheap too. Recorded in the 80's but sounds like it was recorded in the 70's.

Who up listening to Tne Best of Roland Burrell? Getting into Jamaican music means being years deep and still always coming across amazing shit you've never heard of. I love that about this music.
