🌩️ Unbelievable! The talented & warm-hearted #sewist @duckgoesoink has just been suspended—flagged as spammy, fake, or inauthentic. The most shocking part? A moderator reviewed and confirmed it. Automated or human—what the heck, @bsky.app? This is dampening my enthusiasm for this platform! #sewsky
interesting! Did they also reference the home sewing sections or was it mostly styling inspiration?
oh yes! I meant to add it but got distracted by a call 😄 Here’s the direct link: gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/b...

📌I stumbled across this mind-blowing online archive of "La Femme de France", a French weekly fashion magazine that ran from 1915–26. It can be consulted on the BNF (National Library of France)🔗⬇️ The most exciting part: I spotted many #MinimalWasteDesign patterns! #fashionhistory #garmentsewing
Excellent! Nothing is more comfortable than strolling around in bed sheets, just an extension of bedtime! Haha
Choosing a nice fabric to test a toile is the best! I do this a lot using vintage bed sheets from charity shops, and I've had so many pleasant surprises. Sometimes, the toile turns out even better than the intended garment!
They can only feel amazing in such a nice costume!
Cover of the book “Couture zero chute”, with 5 models wearing some of the designs included in the book. (Models are the 2 authors, 1 man, 1 plus-sized white woman, 1 black woman)
This book just arrived and my mind is blown 🤯 🤩
It’s a French-language book about #zeroWaste #garmentSewing by @reformonsnous.com, and I love everything about it: the colors, the diverse models, the designs, the cutting layouts, the wordplay…
Will take it slowly and start planning my first piece!
That's so cool that it caught your husband's eye too!! We fought so hard for the publisher to accept the genderless aspect, so reading this is a real win for me! 🙌
I've been told it can be ordered in any French bookshop locally! But it's not something you see everywhere… 😏
Oh, thank you so much! 😳🥹 I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! It was really important for us not to get stuck in the serious vibe that waste-related topics usually bring. we needed something that would trigger a smile! And coming up with a few wordplays was definitely the funniest part for us!
Haha ! Mind connection🔌⚡️👩🔧
Same! Especially with electronics, like repairing a broken printer or coffee machine. So many items could be saved from landfills if we learned how to repair the basics at school!
They look so comfy! Must be a joy to wear them. Having mending skills is so valuable...I admire what you do
Haha, I definitely racked my brain for those cutting layouts! I'm looking forward to your feedback. Don't hesitate to get in touch for any questions!
Oh nice feature, thanks for the settings tip! Will do that to get the reminder
Yeah, and a lifesaver for when one's belly fluctuates during a period; so comfy and practical!
Oh, cool! Thank you, Hinerangi, for your support 💌! I hope you'll enjoy the experience. it's quite different from what I used to develop, methodologically speaking. 'Slowly' is the perfect word—it truly captures what’s needed to fully enjoy the experience! 🤭
