There was a time when I looked forward to Ezra Klein’s podcast each week. Then I started skipping some. I just tried but couldn’t get through the one with Ashley Parker and Michael Scherer. I can’t stomach normalizing Trump. How it came to this I don’t know.

I don’t think that the armed forces of the US, and by that I mean the individuals that make up the forces, not the commander in chief and his immediate subordinates, would do harm to American citizens. I think ICE is a contrived thing with a sort of contrived target. Am I wrong?
