Non-historic elements like cars and parking garages on the other hand…

What if they converted that whole triangular parking garage between Yesler, James, and 2nd to a food court and public restrooms?

What ages would you recommend this for?

Washington’s high income earners tax has finally passed! What a marathon effort. Thank you to to all of our state reps and senators who’ve helped make this a reality.

Glad more cities are starting to take noise pollution and its impacts more seriously. All cars are noisy. Making these or motorcycles louder should be a crime.

Following @staterepjuliareed.bsky.social on here is so much fun, as well as informative. I wish State Senator Emily Alvarado, State Rep Brianna Thomas, State Rep Joe Fitzgibbon, and others representing South Seattle communities were on here.

The bikes don’t ride like true bikes (pedals don’t actually do anything but spin) in my experience, so I think a lot of us who prefer bike options have gotten our own. If I don’t have my bike with me, I grab a scooter because the bikes are so disappointing.

It’s really under appreciated, especially the second half.

Is there an option where we can request the full 125 acre West Seattle Golf Course and Stadium get turned over to @seasocialhousing.bsky.social for redevelopment as an ecodistrict?

I would take a single transit hub bringing together Alki (who need a RapidRide), the C, the H, and the 125 to connect quickly into Link and over to South Park, Rainier Beach, and down to Sea-Tac instead of any of the current options. Plus, it might get built in my lifetime.

Has anybody else had this survey fully reset on them multiples times, or are my comments just cursed? The built-in back button for the survey caused it once, and then the second time I just not a random loading error going to the next page. I don’t know if I have it in me to try again yet.

Clemency should have extended to release with time served.

“He did not pull the trigger that killed Doug Battle during a 1991 robbery at a Talladega AutoZone, and was not in the store when Battle was shot.“

A classic example of this in West Seattle is the lack of protected bikes lanes on Beach Dr, 48th Ave SW, or Fauntleroy (the 3 most gradual descents available) for kids and families to access Lincoln Park.

My favorite was the vendors in Japan roasting sweet potatoes, takoyaki, etc. but small taco stands, tamale and empanada vendors, sausages, shawarma and falafel, etc. are staples outside transit in many other places for a reason.

I miss the Mission District in SF so much.

Not enough U.S. cities and regional transit systems are supportive of street food vendors. While small sandwich and coffee shops within stations are great when you have to make a transfer, it’s the local food culture immediately around the station that I’ve always liked best when traveling.

I’m so sorry, Luke. Glad you have an answer and some closure now. I hope you’re able to kit out something new soon and get back out making new memories. It’s the experience that stays with you.

Fully endorsed! Seattle bike infrastructure has come a long way but commute corridors are still over represented, at the expense of safe, comfortable (with kid-friendly ascents) routes focused on libraries, schools, parks, beaches, community centers, etc.

Joseph - Seattle Theatre Group STG Presents Joesph, Mar. 8, 2026 at The Neptune. Official details here.

There are few things I love more in this world than live music.

My wife and I have never missed a Joseph tour (either in SF or Seattle). I love that we get to share shows like this with our daughter now too.

Ani Difranco (New York)

On this International Women’s Day, let’s take a moment to recognize this Righteous Babe. Ani DiFranco has been making brilliant, unapologetic music for over 35 years.

💯 “Maintenance access” for things they refuse to maintain are especially irksome.

Legit thought the whole point of kids movies was helping them work through big emotions.

Heading home with a blue ribbon for that in the “under 11” group. It’s been a long but good day.

My daughter’s first jump rope competition is today. The nerves were high but the first event (Single Rope Speed Sprint) had no misses!

Especially if the established right of way provides space for newer systems to be implemented as older systems are phased out.

The best time to build major public infrastructure is always in the past. The next best time is NOW.

If @sound-transit.bsky.social had taken out a 50-year bond in 2001 we’d have an incredible network already and be halfway through paying for it (at a much lower total cost).

The opposition is so incredibly ill-informed. Double-loaded corridor apartment buildings could have 10x as many occupants PER FLOOR with many more floors, and way longer egress times. Firefighters are likely to be FAR MORE impeded in traditional buildings, not less.
