The Jaunt is one of those stories that's actually gotten scarier/more disturbing over time for me. The concept is enough to give you nightmares as a kid but the parenting anxiety it evokes in me now adds a fresh coat of paint. It's hard enough to get your kid to wear a seatbelt.
