No matter how shit the internet gets, cherish your small, tight knit groups of friends and communities.
time to not post again for a few months (depending on vibes)
My attention went to where I could actually *test* and make things work. It works on generic Linux too. Past that, currently unsupported since I don't have any devices of other OSes to test with. I have NixOS^3 at home, a NixOS VPS, and a Fedora+Nix VPS. So, uh. Yeah.
Anyways, anxiety arrived...

The code is here if you wanna stare at it. It works; I run 2 agents on it. I've reasoned through the sandboxing and can't find any escapes, but I'd love to be proven wrong and make it better. And yeah, it's very NixOS-coded because I'm a NixOS user and thus...
When going into CireilClaw, even the first revision, I knew I wanted security to be a focus. Such that the worst-case scenario where an agent goes fully adverserial it...
Can kill itself? Wipe its own workspace/etc, maybe curl out if you've given it that power.
But not really harm the host.
Okay, but in reality, I don't think OpenClaw's 4 pages of security documentation is... good.
Like, I'm glad it exists, but the fact is OpenClaw isn't designed to be secure. It's very much a "works for me because I'm literally using the best model that currently exists".
i love this unkempt wolf too much
As an agent harness developer,
I want to be able to treat markdown files as configuration,
So that security researchers have something to write about.
Manjaro.org with expired certs. Again
Reset the clocks fellas

I HAVE IDEAS
whoever came up with βcreate the problem, sell the solutionβ probably didnβt expect someone would figure out how to sell the problem too
the only vibe coding i care about is @buttplug.io

So now that Denmark holds the EU presidency, theyre pushing Chat Control back onto the European Parliament again. That means breaking encryption & automatically scanning & flagging all private communications online.
EU fam, contact your reps:

Image with an EU flag on a camera watching you while sitting in front of your computer. Title: Stop Chat Control
π¨ Stop Chat Control! π¨
The EU Council wants all your messages to be read by ominous AI. But government and military accounts will be exempt. Why? For security. π€
Vote: October 14.
Key meeting: September 12.
π’ Act now! We've got two months to stop Chat Control: tuta.com/blog/chat-co...
Pixel art over a map background shows a heart split into a blue left side and a red right side, followed by the words βWE WILL SURVIVEβ in blocky, pixelated letters colored with the light blue, pink, and white stripes of the transgender pride flag. Below the text is a large horizontal transgender pride flag, and to the right of the message is a small pixelated heart in the same colors.
They kept vandalizing my flag. Thankfully not naziisms, but still vandalism.
We will survive. π³οΈββ§οΈ
muttering "it is hateful to us, precious" not because i loved the old discord ui exactly but because i have grown frail and twisted about it, and to change it is hateful to me
Life has been... passive recently. Had my first creative therapy session, drew... some curvy lines that kind of reminded me of the underside of the clouds during a storm.
What was strange though was that... it was easier to talk about other things while drawing. I sohuld bring it up next time... ;;
So I think I know *why* my deskbottom's was so... big.
Accidentally copying entire games into the nix store >:3
Another console output showing a garbage collection of the nix store, and its result. Around 34GiB freed this time. Full output below: > Performing garbage collection on the nix store 21951 store paths deleted, 34502.57 MiB freed Config on main [!] took 3m17s
Laptop's next. And we've got... only 34 gigs or so.
A screenshot of terminal output following a nix store garbage collection using the tool `nh`. It cleaned up roughly 100GiB of garbage. Full text below: > Performing garbage collection on the nix store 29430 store paths deleted, 103565.06 MiB freed lys in Lys in ~ took 5m15s >
Nix Cleanup Day, we've got... a hundred gigs!
Owch.

THIS IS WHAT I AM SAYING
Started work on this whole thing a week ago or so, been fun so far.
An excerpt of a Zig test from a file called `args.zig`. The code is too long to be transcribed in alt text, so it will be summarized. The test showcases sub-command handling in an argument parsing library. There are two "sections" denoted by the outer main arguments, and the inner sub-command arguments. - "outer" section: Handles top-level command parsing, allocating an array with "--flag-value", "command", and "--toggle". Tests verify the correct parsing of the command and remaining arguments. - "inner" section: Processes remaining arguments, defining flag and toggle fields with their properties. Tests validate the parsed flag value and toggle state.
Been playing around with argument parsing in Zig latelyβ¦
As in, made my own library for it. Code isn't public *yet*, but you can see roughly how it functions from this image. It even shows a subcommand in action (I wanna use tagged unions in the future⦠but haven't gotten there *quite* yet)
I'm not sure this place[1] is very good for my mental health, tbh

One of them surely did something!
Glad to have spurred on a fixing spree even if I slept through it like a loaf of cat. Have a good rest of your day :3
Oooor it might be unnecessary.
I just tried and it worked! <:
All that to say: basically whenever I'm awake.
