So I have this neighbour here in the Netherlands. A Black man, retired now. Used to be a train conductor for NS (Dutch Railways) for 30 years. We talk a lot, and one thing he always tells me with pride; is how in three decades on the job, he never once punished a traveller for not having a ticket.
I can lean on my actual experience to yell at everyone that this won't work! You can't identify emerging customer needs by aggregating data from the past! We tried this already with personas and again with big data! This is like the stupid business version of the problem of induction.
