Had to doublecheck the date on this
It's not a war, but if it is don't worry we already won it
my mistake, I was under the impression they had Monero but I think the people saying they paid with it converted it to BTC first.
No crypto is really that private since you have to cash out eventually but that's getting into the weeds
I am also willing to do commission work!
Halfbodies - $80
Halfbody sketches - $40

would this potentially be available on a shirt? I'm not much of a hat person but I'd buy this on a shirt in a heartbeat

If the FBI went the typical big tech route of sending an email to legal@proton.me saying "pretty please give us all the data you have on [username]"
and proton replied with the credit card details then the headline would be accurate but that's not what happened
It's the same kinda thing whenever signal posts something on signal.org/bigbrother
You wouldn't take something posted there as signal "helping" the FBI
signal is being forced to turn over the data they have.
This was a court order not the typical FBI going to Google and saying pretty please
brother this video is 4yrs old. This information is entirely outdated.
They have anonymous payment methods
proton.me/support/paym...
the TOR aspect was fixed after this video
You have to store the card number to charge a subscription and you legally have to turn it over when mandated by the government.
Proton isn't going to break the law for you.
Use their anonymous methods of payment such as mail-in cash or Monero to protect against this if you're a gov target.
normally I like the reporting from 404 but this one is not up to snuff.
This reporting makes it sound like proton had any choice in the matter.
They were forced by law enforcement in Switzerland to hand over the credit card information of the person paying for premium on the account
> when you register you transfer from an encrypted area to an unencrypted
this is not true and was never true.
If you were accessing via TOR you got redirected to the clearnet instead of staying on the .onion
this was a bug and has been fixed.
HTTPS kept you encrypted
small yes but fascism dies from a death of a thousand cuts and I'm going to celebrate every single cut

THREAD: Whenever imperialist governments go to war, they become more authoritarian at home.
That makes censorship bills like KOSA, ID checks, and attacks on Section 230 even more dangerous.
Online protest, documenting war crimes, even news articles could be suppressed.

I will say though that bluesky does seem to attract the most annoying liberals out there.
Don't get me wrong I like it here but some of y'all need to take it down a notch. You make the whole platform look like a center left insane asylum echo chamber
I would love to see the makeup of all three platforms on the percentage that enthusiastically voted for Kamala and are the type to bring the "if she won we'd be at brunch right now" type signs to no kings protests, the percentage of younger voters, and older voters.
The demographics are really neat
It is really odd to see the difference between various social media platforms and this one when it comes to graham platner
Bluesky seems to absolutely hate him
Twitter dems love him
Threads is like 50/50

Panel 6 - Chase: ...It... it was three months ago today. Panel 7 - Chase: I-I just... Panel 8 - Chase: I miss my boyfriend... Bud: Aw, Chase...

The fact people believed this on its face with zero hesitation though should be a major sign for Microsoft that their public image is completely in the toilet
Unless someone can provide some real proof this story smells like complete bullshit to me
This notebook check article is written by an author who writes 4-5 completely unsubstantiated rumor articles every single day and posts them to his 40 followers on twitter that get zero likes (he hasn't gotten a single engagement with his posts on twitter in over a month)
x.com/ACorsTechWri...
I dug into this and the story and the rumors are basically all garbage.
The big stories are from tech4gamers and pcworld who both cite the same forum post which was written by ChatGPT windowsforum.com/threads/wind...
which cites this post from notebook check www.notebookcheck.net/Windows-12-r...
This also all boils down to the XKCD wrench comic.
Nobody is going to burn a car exploit like that on you. If a government wants to kill you in your car they're going to cut your brake lines first not hack the computer inside
This can be further secured with ROM chips controlling all the firmware and physical functions of your car that only allow flashing when the car is parked and the battery is disconnected.
Short version, current worst case scenario for car hacking is someone gets its GPS location and nothing else.
Not saying it's impossible to have a car hijacked but the complexity plus the fact that the intrusion methods are extremely inconvenient means your cars computers are likely more secure than your laptop that hasn't had a Windows update in 2 weeks
RF and Bluetooth obviously you need to be in range of the car to communicate with it and that means hijacking your car would put whoever is hijacking it at risk as well
the last remaining way is via USB ports in your car and it would be easier to just reach forward and grab the wheel
