I kind of like this movie. At first you kind of feel empathy for Dennis Christopher's character., especially since I'm a cinephile at heart and have been bullied. But his psychosis starts to make him less so, . Tim Thomerson was kind of hard to believe as the cop, as he usually is cast as a schmuck

So any time a reporter with integrity asks 47 a question he has no answer for he automatically calls them a rotten reporter, especially if they are female

Walking in Memphis

Now Muriel plays piano
Every Friday at the Hollywood
And they brought me down to see her
And they asked me if I would
Do a little number
And I sang with all my might
She said
"Tell me are you a Christian child?"
And I said "Ma'am, I am tonight"

Well living in the states it was the only way was via PBS. VHS was still too expensive and DVD wasn't even dreamed of. I started from the beginning of Tom Bakers. My first episode I saw was Robot

I was alive (born in 1960) when the first doctor premiered but did not see any of it till the late 80s when my local PBS station started showing the Tom Baker Serials. They later added the other Doctors though Hartnell and Troughton only showed a few, mostly because most episodes were lost

Love that movie while not totally accurate with the book, definitely was a great adaptation. Would have loved to have seen Pendergast in it as he is the main character in so many of the authors' books
