I've been considering paper armies for some time. Finally, I took the plunge. I don't have a lot of money for gaming, and these work out incredibly cheap in comparison to figures. I love them, and the Peter Dennis artwork is beautiful. The Saxons are almost done now.

I haven't been on here for a while. Now I'm being asked to provide age assurance to access my messages!! Is that legit? It takes me to a website that wants to either scan my face or check my credit card? I don't plan on doing either.

Langton 1/1200 scale ships are wonderful. Another club member swears by them. I have mostly Navwar.

They are 1/700th scale. Normally, we game with 1/1200.

They aren't mine, another club member 3d printed them, and the guy I played painted them.

The rule book was first published in 2011 by Pen and Sword, who more recently put out a paperback copy.

We were using "Blood, Bilge, and Iron Balls." There is an element of record keeping for ship damage, which some say slows it down, but it is a more realistic game to play.

Last nights game at the club. I do love a Napoleonic naval skirmish game. I lost!! I'm very good at that 😁

I had my first game of DBA on Monday night at the club. We suffered a glorious defeat as both of our flanks collapsed, mainly due to my ability to roll ones at the most inopportune moments 😂

I received these Irregular Miniatures 28mm ECW figures this morning. It's my first journey into their larger scale, as I've mostly purchased 2mm or 6mm from them in the past.
I absolutely love them, the details are beautiful. Exactly what I need to finish a regiment.

This is my daughters Sunday drive, I certainly wouldn't get in her way, that's for sure!!

It's happening. After a 2 year break from writing, I have finally started outlining my 9th book, which is a dark fantasy. Perhaps fitting for the world we currently find ourselves living in.

Alfie isn't a fan of rising early, he prefers a more sedate start to the day. He's probably saving his energy for when he resumes digging up the lawn!!

Tonight, we had a game of Nimitz at the club. Great fun. I even managed to shoot at and sink one of my own destroyers. Don't ask 😂
