Any good design podcasts these days that are not just tech bros talking about βleveling upβ? But more about the craft?
Hosted by women, ideally.

Iβm used to being in the boring era of tech where each upgrade doesnβt feel much different.
But wow the difference between my 2017 MacBook Pro and a brand new one??
Itβs a delight.
Browsing Framer templates to see what the kids are up to these days.
1px lines everywhere. Horizontal. Vertical. Grids. Outlines.
Itβs giving graph paper vibes.
The new Fuji X half is super cute.
Seems kinda gimmicky but when it comes to camera gear Iβm pretty into restrictive gimmicks that make things more interesting
I was SO excited to learn about Figma Sites, as a designer whose coding skills are about 10 years out of date at this point.
Hopefully it ends up being pretty great in the end π€
Kinda just want figma to integrate it all together though instead of having different parts
Todayβs tiny wins:
- designed 23 screens (yikes)
- new glasses day!
- first heater day of the season = snuggly toasty cats
- winter doona ON, soft fluffy bed vibes await
Now just gotta stay awake for an airport run later
Todayβs tiny wins: big day of life and house admin, many to dos ticked off
Powered by checklists, quiet rage, and doing it anyway β¨
Todayβs tiny win:
- Survived Monday (itβs actually Tuesday)

You donβt need motivation. You need ignition. Small fires lit daily will eventually burn down every fortress of fear youβve built. Light the match. Light it again tomorrow.
Side Quest Log: Sunday Edition
Body: hurting.

Soul: horizontal forever.
Tiny wins today:
π§Ά Knitted more rows on my first sweater (itβs looking real!)

Webrings! What a blast from the past, forgot all about them
Screenshot of blueskyβs search field to search for posts, users, or fields
But not hashtags?
Cat carriers on wheels seem like a good idea until I picture them jiggling about over the bumpy ground
Turns out landscape photography involves leaving the house
Thanks! The sides are pretty rough/loose and my floats would be no good for a garment, but fine for a hot water bottle
Looks like the colour dominance of the top white spot isnβt right, but not bad for my first time doing colour work!
Started on what I thought would be a simple hot water bottle cover to learn colourwork. Turns out it uses βJudyβs magic cast onβ so it knits all in one, and magic loop, neither of which Iβve done before, so Iβm learning new stuff before before Iβve even gotten to the colour work section, yikes
I need a new game to play, switch or playstation.
I love huge pretty open worlds with lots of side quests and not too much fighting (or an easy/story mode to help with that). The pretty part is important.
E.g. breath of the wild/TOTK, ghost of Tsushima, horizon zero dawn
Suggestions?
Two ginger kittens
A black white and grey kitten stretched out
Visited some foster friends today and met some cuties.
Non-ginger pictured is called Luigi. He opened my bag and rifled through it. A true cat of the people.
That seems like a really good hat, whereβs it from? Howβs it stand a bit of wind?
Lies
Iβve long been wishing I could Eternal Sunshine my brain and play it again for the first time
Last I checked (couple months ago) I couldnβt find any designers to follow, suddenly thereβs heaps! Gonna follow a bunch of starter packs, say hi!
@lorepodcast.bsky.social hi! π
Really want a Fuji x100vi but donβt want to spend the money right now. The x-m5 is more affordable but unsure if the lack of viewfinder and other simplified features will annoy me. OR will they be easy and delightful? Could go either way
Iβd pair it with a little pancake prime.. π
What do we think of the new Fujifilm X-M5? I love the look and tiny size for an everyday casual or travel camera.
Spacer.gif ftw
I may need to upgrade my iPhone 12 mini to a larger phone purely because I canβt read peopleβs tiny captions on Instagram stories π΅π»π
