I've started heavily using Claude Code this week to make a "modern" telnet application for 68k Macintosh systems like the Mac Plus called Flynn.
In the last 24 hours I've gone from nothing to a fully functioning app that runs on my original hardware with System 6.

Trying out Claude Code Agent teams. Goal is to have a Fluxbox-like compatible window manager for Wayland.
Project Stats:
- 14,661 lines of C across 42 source files
- 3 build targets: wm-wayland compositor, wm-wayland-ctl IPC client, tests
- Builds cleanly with wlroots 0.18, XWayland auto-detected

A demonstration of the miniaturization possible with modern technology, the various cabinets of the UNIVAC I demonstrated that it was possible to fit an entire aisle's worth of racks a computer like the Whirlwind I into a single cabinet. (Source.)
I desperately want "poser" to make a comeback as well.
Was going to say, let's bring back Ska too.
in 2026, let's bring back the concept of "selling out" and once again make it contemptible

@actionretro.bsky.social I think you will appreciate this, a modern(ish) OS running on hardware from around the time when The Getup Kids formed. NetBSD 10.1 on a 486.
@actionretro.bsky.social inspired by your video on Floppinux, I got my modified Gateway 2000 486DX2-66Mhz system running it off a 2.88Mb floppy image on a Gotek floppy emulator.
Extra space allows for a fully featured busybox and more kernel features like networking, framebuffer and ATA support.
In the decade-plus I've been making my weekly videos, Rebecca was the only developer to have jumped into my comments to clear up a point I was unclear aboutβthen she graciously agreed to be on the podcast. I found her to be as generous and kind as she was talented. It's truly tragic that she's gone.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. Itβs a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. Weβve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
Going to play some Pinball.
I setup a gotek a couple weeks ago in my 486 and it's a dream. Like how I'm back to Sneaker Net, copying files into a floppy image with mcopy on my Linux laptop then pulling the drive an shuffling it to the 486.
