A blue and white can of Brasso metal polish

Some lunchtime polishing for a Thursday.

Interesting that Brasso is only Great Britain's №1 polish, suggesting that Norn Iron has their own superior, local version that they prefer. Like with Tayto crisps, Harp lager, or Centra corner shops.

Any ideas?

I thought every week was a Belgian week at Fringe. Will next week just be a bit more Belgian-y than usual?

My passport is up for renewal, so I've had a new photo taken to send in.

For some reason, I thought that a shirt and tie was the most appropriate attire for the occasion. Got to look vaguely respectable for the border guards!

I've fortunately been saved by the outdoor market in town, but even they only had a couple left on sale.

I'm on a hunt for fennel this afternoon. Three supermarkets out of stock so far, plus one which has apparently stopped selling it altogether.

Any idea if there's been a recipe on a TV cooking show recently which includes it, that's caused a resulting run at the shops?
