Men step into these spaces, and are forced to take on with a fraction of the emotional resilience that women have had forced on them their entire lives.

Women deal with their emotions, confront and move on.

Men can't keep up.

I think most artists lean this way politically because to MAKE art and to get GOOD at it requires that you spend countless hours observing people and the world and internalizing how that all makes you feel. You literally have to train in empathy, imo, which is at odds with conservative ideals.
