Did watch the first episode. Some things I like, some I'm not quite sure about yet. But definitely going to watch the next episode. A few people on there I really like.

I am also negative on the twins and the couple. Have you watched Padma's new show yet?
Honestly, I am absolutely disgusted by academics suggesting that AI can do the reading and writing for you. At a certain point, what you're bragging about is fraud. And in a broader sense, what you're contributing to is the erosion of knowledge and the destruction of trust in academic publishing.
I sent this to a friend with the caption, "why I believe there is no god."
"The choice of Epic Fury for this campaign tells me they havenβt been reading Homer at all. If they have, they have failed to understand what epic means."

Hey fellow Chaucerians! I'm teaching a seminar this semester on the Canterbury Tales (with a brief HoF detour), and I'm still determining the secondary readings.W hat are some of your favorite recent articles/chapter/books on Chaucer? TIA. Picture for the algorithm.

Hard agree.
My year was bad as well, and left me with very little space for reading outside of teaching. I look forward to sitting down with your book in the new year.
Humanities programs have ceded scholarship of the premodern to bad actors on the right. This is a serious problem, not only because it represents a loss of current and future knowledge, but also because it enables white supremacists and Christian nationalists to twist history to their own ends.
Thread. OP's is a very common story. Instead of tailored accommodations, students get "extra time" even if they don't need or want it. And then unneeded "extra time" gives naysayers the grounds to whine about accommodations.

I don't love Walz' response here TBH. It reads like, no, you're the ones with disability problems instead of just condemning the use of the r-word. people.com/tim-walz-hit...
sigh. agreed.
I have the same wager tomorrow. Iβm gonna lose.

Alice Wong, with partially black and blonde hair, serving face and giving the camera one wicked side-eye. She is wearing a multicolored shirt with bright red lipstick to boot.
I thank you, Alice Wongβauthor, activist, daughter, sister, friend, and innovatorβfor being with us here for as long as you were.
I thank you for blessing our larger community with your courage, your love, your indignation, and your fierce advocacy through #DisabilityVisibility.
I was just telling my class about her while teaching So Lucky. Iβm devastated.
RIP Alice Wong, fiercest, finest, most fabulously dressed freedom fighter and friend. She changed the world a bit at a time every day and never stopped loving it. She taught me so much. I canβt believe this. I miss her bravery and clarity already. πβΏοΈ
