Visiting a friend in Hawaii last week I had the first ever sense of being middle aged. I’m 45. She asked if I was into the scene, ie. was I into going somewhere with djs and dancing. I realised I was not. Theoretically yes, actually, erm, no. I’ve since been in crisis about being old
1st draft question - if you realise you want to change direction 50,000 words in would you start again or continue with new focus (same themes) and deal the shift on the second go around?
