It's been - a time. Thank you.
It's been - a time. Thank you.
No I mean we had a show there that got cancelled because the venue messed us around, but now the whole company doesn't look like it's going to be viable much longer.
In a parallel dimension, Insert Laughter Here would have been performing in Slough tonight, how glamorous.
In this dimension, I fear we are actually on the brink of collapse. 😔
Episode Two of Original's new ghost stories podcast is out now - The Cold Embrace. Find it wherever you get your podcasts or listen here:

Screenshot of Meta trying to sell me on their new AI posting assistant, Manus. M-anus. Someone had fun naming that! (Yes I know it's a real name but it's still basically meta-anus)
I choose to pronounce this to rhyme with anus

Huge thanks to everyone who sent us kind words following our appearance on Riddiculous - it was such a fun day in the studio with everyone having a laugh, and obviously made even more fun when... [spoiler] - it's still available on ITVX if you want to watch it, S3 ep18 - enjoy! ☺️

Reminder that I'll be on TV tomorrow afternoon, 3pm on ITV1 - Riddiculous. Annoyingly I'll be out at that time, but I was there when it was recorded so I do already know what happens.
I can't tell you anything yet, but we had a good laugh - I hope you enjoy it too :)
I recently finished Cursed Under London by @scriblit.bsky.social & really enjoyed it. Horror-ish fantasy, charming humour with some brilliant characters. Really looking forward to picking up the sequel as soon as I can.
Oh look, here's a handy link to them both: farragobooks.com/book-series/...
We're watching old taskmaster, at the episode where Sarah brings a stud detector as a prize. She doesn't reference it in her reasoning to why they're annoying, so I explained to Chloe what men do when they find one of those things - she had never heard/witnessed this, and laughed uproariously. Win.
Tonight someone shook my hand and congratulated me on feeling able to express myself in the way that I do (colourful hair and glasses) #JustBoxOfficeThings
In an alternative reality where I did become a successful filmmaker I would have loved to have talked to him about adapting these books into films.
A photo of Rob Grant in front of a picture of Red Dwarf.
Just found out that Rob Grant, co-creator of Red Dwarf and my favourite author (Incompetence and Colony) passed away yesterday. Comedy legend, RIP.
(Also yes. Life is more expensive than ever)
Me: Hello, CMS, yes I need to report a significant drop in my income and therefore my ability to afford payments at the level you've set.
CMS: ah! But remember *last year* you were on a higher income, so we won't change anything. Bye!
Me: 🤦♂️

Tonight's office - a promo shoot for Insert Laughter Here!
Sadly we had to postpone another show, but we went along to the venue anyway to record some promo silliness to hopefully help with the next ones. We had a laugh anyway!
Come see us there in March and April, please! 🙏
All being well I'm running a couple of games of Paint the Town Red at Norwich Gaming Convention this summer! 🤩
Please buy some games from your favourite creators! Making art is hard, and making any money from art is harder.
If you can't spend money, tell your favourite local store about your favourite publisher, drop a review on a game, or offer to run a game at a local club.
Every little helps!
A plushie pair of characters with cute happy faces - bacon on the left, an egg on the right.
Last night Chloe brought me home yet another eggpal - this time with a bacon buddy too, and they're magnetic! Oh. Em. Gee. I'm running out of space on the egg shelf at this rate! #eggpals
If only my parents were aware of this 😅
You are also an eggpal ☺️
And extra thanks to @harecomedy.bsky.social for kindly tagging me to see it!
The complete package contents including a hand written note, sticker, cute folded origami heart, a business card and of course the egg magnet itself.
A close up of the magnet on its own - it looks a lot like a real fried egg, just miniature. Excellent craftsmanship!
Another new eggpal, this time from the incredible craft skills of @earthandsand.bsky.social - this very realistic looking fried egg magnet - bonus, the yolk is impossible to split! 😆 Also delightfully packaged so worthy of its own new section on our fridge. Thanks Anna! I love it. #EggPals
That's so bloody cool! 🙏
I still don't have a Tx date for that, sadly. I imagine at this rate the court date will come first!
Yes!! Legend ☺️
He's so lovely, I've been a fan of his work for ages too - was really nice to work with him but we didn't really "meet" beyond a very polite hello and goodbye etc.

TV appearance!
I am now able to share that I will be appearing as a contestant on ITV1's Riddiculous - Wednesday 4th March, at 3pm.
Nick and I (and all the teams) had a lot of fun on the day so I'm very excited to finally see it shown. Tune in to see what happened!
My only hope is that either the tapes we watched were very old, or that it was a very long running series... 😬
