The most common button type I find. Mostly plain, but we do come across some decorated types.
Mostly dating to the 18th century.
Tombac is an alloy of copper and enough zinc to give it a silvery colour.

Yes, probably lots more trees, but the same hills and valleys.
Have maps back to 1840's, and very little has changed, except the size of the fields. Lots of hedges and ditches were ripped out in the 1950's-60's
Sometimes I can't get my head around, that the person standing there, even thousands of years ago, is seeing the same sun, rising and setting over a landscape, that really hasn't changed, contour wise, very much at all ☺️

Nicely marked gold ring, probably 9-18ct.
