Things aren't looking good for me, folks. I've been scrambling around looking for part-time jobs, but if I don't come up with like $300 by the end of the month, I won't be able to keep up with rent + utilities and I won't be able to buy groceries.

Chosen Warrior+ Give a unit +1 Damage and +1 Magic Damage. That unit becomes the Alpha. If there is an Alpha, this spell must target it and it gives +1 bonus attack. (This spell costs less.)

Long Cast+ +1 Magic Damage. Tile-targeted spells gain +5 Range.

Five When you end your turn with exactly 5 mana, gain +5 Shield and temporarily gain +5 Kinetc Spikes until the end of your next turn. Kinetic Spikes causes a unit to emit a magic projectile towards a random enemy when hit.

Itch Deal 1 damage to yourself. 50% chance to spawn a friendly flea.

Found a really disgusting synergy in Mewgenics tonight. I pieced it together near the middle of the Junkyard and then swept most of the rest of the run with it.

Cast Chosen Warrior+ on the unit with Five, get them to 5 mana, then itch repeatedly!

I've noticed on some footage that for classes like Druid and Necromancer, it's really difficult to see how many coins you have because the background color of that hud element matches the current cat's class. Is this changed/can it be changed for launch?

This is, by far, my most anticipated game of 2026. I have been waiting SIX YEARS for this game to come out in all of it's very very weird glory. I am UNBELIEVABLY excited for Feb 10th!!!

Tangentially related to my last two posts: I should probably advertise my commissions more, but I don't know that that's a good idea with the headspace I'm in making it difficult to organize any sort of thoughts properly.

I hate feeling like this, I'll break free eventually but I just need time...

I feel like I need to be upfront about all this because it has been pretty bad for me. The job search is going poorly because everything wants qualifications I lack, I get ghosted on the things I AM a fit for, and I'm not making any money off of commissions at the moment.

I think it definitely has to be Tom Fulp over Edmund because Newgrounds needed to exist for Ed to get his foot in the door.

Definitely a "one walked so the other could run" situation, though.

Incidentally, Newgrounds still uses meat boy and I think isaac in some of their background splashes iirc.

You've probably drank a considerable number of shells worth of dissolved limestone via unfiltered drinking water.

Limescale buildup is literally just the dissolved shells of dead animals (among other calcium sources) being in your water and depositing itself.
