Woops⦠I forgot that this app existed again.
Iβve been obsessed with refinishing lately so Iβll post some of that amidst the public divorce crash out on here lmao.
we have to find a way to win this because I refuse to accept a world in which the biggest assholes alive get everything they want

Paul Verhoeven is one of the only filmmakers to correctly predict how fucking stupid and tacky modern American fascism would be.
Hair dryer limb blowout successful. Now to figure out the right sequence of steps for acrylic dry brush highlights + an oil wash to bring out the scale detailsβ¦.
Uh oh. Dry brushing metallic paint does not work well on a small scale (I now may or may not have aluminum particles in my lungs)
Iβm also thinking about if I want a cool umber or warm brown + black combo for the oil wash. Not crazy about the existing flat greys so an umber could unifyβ¦. Hmmmm
Hmmmm thinking about if I want to do acrylic dry brush firstβ¦. Unsure of how well itβd adhere to the polyurethane varnish.
(Thinking as a form of avoiding the hand breaking hair dryer limb fix, which I have to do before I do anything)
movie night at the house
Thank GOD for matte varnish! I thought I was doing a horrendous job for my 1st shot at metallics but itβs less of a (too dark and glossy) mess than I thought.
A gaggle of funky lil guys Iβm 80% done painting
My admittedly insane game plan is:
- blast with hair dryer and see if I can shove the limbs back into better (less smooshed) position
- dry brush highlights in acrylic
- gloss polyurethane varnish
- black oil wash for the details
- partial satin varnish
Itβs from ULTIMA ONLINE which I later learned is an MMO from 2001 where you can play as a GARGOYLE
Hereβs a cool dragon figure I got for $5 that Iβm fixing up
Woah thatβs me
Hey Sandy,
Hope this post finds you well - Can you come over sometime this week to help me jam Bethβs legs back into shape after I blast them with a blow drier?
Pressure inversion is giving my hand nerves a case of the Mondays
