I was pleasantly surprised by DBZ Sagas! My only experience with dbz games was Xenoverse 2. This game feels like watching dbz as a kid--episodic power fantasy vignettes, mowing down everyone with the unbridled power of the sun (after the first upgrade, its slow up to that point). It's great lmao

Loooooved Odin Sphere, I think out of the 4 it's tied for first with Ar Tonelico II. I really am just mesmerized by its visual style

been enjoying GoT. Was going through some stuff in my young adulthood so I'm only just getting around to watching this, but I'm glad Oni recommended it. Sucks to watch a show with the specter of "but it's gonna get bad" (according the internet) hanging over every episode but i'm sticking it out

Vowed to play more PS2 games this year, happened to roll a bunch of japanese games that are not all necessarily jrpgs (ar tonelico ii definitely is tho)

Hades II took the attention to detail that Transistor got visually, the authentic dialogue of Bastion, and the replayability that Supergiant experimented with in Pyre and nailed in the first Hades entry. Hades II really is the culmination of all their work so far

Esoteric Ebb, Oni's recommendation. Only 2h into the actual game with 1h ish in the demo (it lets you keep your save from the demo!)

It's got the sauce. Captures Disco Elysium vibes without aping too heavily. And is kind of a nice thing to get if you're completely uninterested in za/um's new thing.

Monarch season 2. Sprout and I really enjoyed season 1. It's an Apple TV joint so obvs you know i'm not gonna advocate you pay for that shit but it's worth seeking out--normally I don't care equally for the people and the monsters in kaiju films and in this one, I definitely do.

It's already march so it may be in no particular order for a bit! But i'm kind of a stream of consciousness type of person so here goes!
