This is Nathan Cavanaugh, another DOGE staffer explaining how he flagged grants at NEH for "DEI" which would be reviewed for termination. 404 Media has reviewed hours of this footage and we'll have more soon.

Archaeologists Unearthed a 400-Year-Old Letter. It Confirmed the Existence of a Legendary King. The letter, dating to the 16th or 17th century, contained an order from King Qashqash, a Nubian ruler whose historicity was previously uncertain.

An archaeological layer find in Africa contained over 20 scraps of paper included an order from King Qashqash.

It was thought that the king may have only been a legend, but the paper is concrete evidence that the Nubian ruler was real.

Smug?

Centrist?

If all you lot have is insults based on absolutely nothing, it doesn't make any difference to me what you think.

You don't even know what you're arguing about any more.

My facts don't care about your opinions :-)

Brendan Carr is threatening the media to cover the war the way the Trump regime wants. It’s one of the most anti-American messages ever posted by a government official.

many charity shops don't take them any more, and if they do, they go in a 'free or donations' rack - which I'm fine with, tbh, gets them new homes and others might discover new music ;-)

' Instead of heeding these warning signs, the Italian government chose to sue the handful of journalists reporting the problems for "undermining the social order" '

imagine if a major national leader, for example, was dismissing journalists as 'fake news' in this day and age, sixty years later?

Watching Politico get told they're sanewashing shit by the guy they're sanewashing is just excellent. Media cooked. Getting dunked on by the people they're protecting. We are in the post-dignity era of the press.

...and that's your problem summed up right there.

I don't even follow the guy, I just pointed out he hadn't done 'fuck all'.

You're so mired in party tribalism you think everyone else is.

Step back, enjoy the sunshine and see the world objectively.

Labour are genocidal cunts, for the record.

Yes, of course, some things can be 'popular'.

Many things can and should exist despite being not 'popular' at all.

Only an idiot would not understand that, surely?

Oh, FFS. The s/h veg oil supply is tiny (as canal boater friends discovered when researching) so not a viable option at all, and turning over good arable land to growing fuel for transport? No in so many ways.

Only found it as I was searching for an email about Laugharne (weekend coming up), which he'd recommended for a Celtic cross worth seeing ;-)

I can be terrible at such things...

Having worked (in a back room capacity) on both, I could say which I'd rather be working on ;-)

I'm not sure how far you can get from a formula without it being something else, of course...

OK as a trans person can I inform you that what a party on the left is saying and what is getting reported in the UK press are two completely different things. You need to understand our media including the BBC does not report, or not positively on left wing subjects anymore. Silence is a tactic.

Be fair, Jon (and I'm trying really hard to do so here), it was a by election, being fought on local issues. There would have still been plenty of environmental discussion on the doorsteps.

A general election would be very different, I'm confident we both understand that already.

Also funny that now that the Greens are a threat to the establishment, the complaints about the Greens have shifted from "they only ever talk about the environment so they're not a credible party 😠" to "they don't talk about the environment anymore so they've sold out 😠"

Oh, agreed completely. We have small dogs two of which are getting on a bit, and they still keep us spring chickens busy; we had been suggesting a smaller, lazier dog ;-)

They already have a 9 year old lined up , been in fostering for a long time - we'll see (and nothing we can do anyway, obvs)
